BeoLab 17 – Endless possibilities

BeoLab 17 is designed to adapt in an instant, matching your mood or lifestyle with the atmosphere in your home. Torsten Valeur has designed the triangular BeoLab 17. The cabinet of the versatile and flexible speaker is made of a single piece of extruded aluminum. This gives the product an exceptional stability. Bang & Olufsen’s engineers have included an ambitiously harmonious array of all-digital components into the closed cabinet of just 2.8 litres(2.46 quarts).

The two-way BeoLab 17 packs a custom-made 6” midrange/woofer, a ¾” tweeter, a pair of 160-watt class D amplifiers and a proprietary digital sound engine. With more than 40 times the processing power of analogue circuitry, the new digital sound engine is the brain behind the brawn that makes big sound possible in such a small package.

BeoLab 17 is especially attractive – for both interior design enthusiasts and for those who enjoy great sound – due to its many placement options. Use the floor base to put it directly on the floor as a casual, laid-back monitor. Place it on the high floor stand for a sculptural statement of acoustic excellence, or use the wall bracket, which also allows you to tuck BeoLab 17 directly beneath the ceiling. The bracket tilts at two angles to let you point the sound where you want it; a bass response switch adjusts the equalizer for free-standing, wall or corner positions.

The wireless speaker is ready to fit into any decor. End covers for the brushed aluminium cabinet are available in white or black. The fabric covering of BeoLab 17 can be replaced very easy. Front covers are available with a distinctive “broken ice” fascia and white, or as fabric fronts in white, black or blue.

A dedication to perfection and craft drives the workmanship behind BeoLab 17’s stunning cabinet, a seamless union of two exquisite materials. The fusion between aluminium and composite material is so seamless that the speaker manifests itself as one, solid organic form without dissonance from rough or sharp edges. BeoLab 17’s distinctive silhouette is finely counterbalanced by the asymmetric floor stand. Refined in looks as well as functionality, the floor stand discreetly hides and manages the power cable by feeding it up through the underside of the stand. This ensures that BeoLab 17 maintains its clean, striking impact.

Simplest configuration
The less technically inclined consumer will also be happy to learn that they can now achieve the ultimate in uncompressed, wireless audio right out of the box. Setup is simple. Wiring mistakes are impossible and interoperability means that Bang & Olufsen wireless speakers will work with any WiSA-compliant television or receiver – whether it’s from Bang & Olufsen or another manufacturer.
